INSTRUCTOR - Antiterrorism Leadership Course (USN)
The Instructor will support the Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) training at Navy CENSECFOR Eastern Region Learning Sites and Naval Technical Training Centers in Navy Schoolhouse environments located at Naval Support Activity, Chesapeake, VA 23322; Naval Station Mayport, FL 32228 and NTTC, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX 78236 and Navy CENSECFOR Western Region Learning Sites in Naval Schoolhouse environments located at Naval Station San Diego, San Diego, CA 92136; Naval Base Kitsap, Silverdale, WA 98315; Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Pearl Harbor, HI 96860 and U.S. Navy Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Yokosuka, Japan 23800.
Responsibilities
Deliver one or more of the following courses:- Antiterrorism Officer (ATO) Level II, in accordance with (IAW) Training Course Control Document (TCCD) J-830-0015
- Visit, Board, Search and Seizure Boarding Officer (VBSS BO) IAW TCCD A-2E-0085
- Naval Security Force Officer (NSFO) IAW TCCD A-7H-0007
Skills and Experience
Have one (or more) of the following qualifications:- Navy NEC 9502 Instructor, or
- Navy NEC 9518 Naval Leadership Development Program Instructor, or
- Graduate of one of the following courses of instruction:
- Instructional Delivery Continuum Journeyman Instructor Training
- Instructional Delivery Continuum Journeyman Instructor Training Mobile Training Team
- Naval Leadership Facilitator
- Facilitator Training Course
- Nuclear Instructor Qualifications
- Completion of a civilian (or commercial) formal course of instruction which has been evaluated and certified as a Journeyman Instructor Training Course equivalency by the Center for Personal and Professional Development
- Four (4) years of past military experience in Navy Security Force leadership or Navy Antiterrorism Program management
- Past experience in Antiterrorism/counter-terrorism program management
- Past documented experience in maritime interdiction operations (VBSS Boarding Officer preferred)
- Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by a national or military certifying agency
- Current certification in Basic First Aid by a national or military certifying agency
- Possess or capable of obtaining a SECRET security clearance
- Possess a basic knowledge of Security Force Training and Readiness, Antiterrorism Planning, law enforcement and security operations

- Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor Course (SAMI) IAW TCCD A-041-0148
- Antiterrorism Training Supervisor Course (AT TRASUP) IAW TCCD A-830-0034
- Con-Compliant Boarding, Visit, Board, Search and Seizure Course (NCB VBSS) IAW TCCD A-830-0395
- Master at Arms Class A Course (MAA) IAW TCCD A-830-0011
Skills and Experience
Have one (or more) of the following qualifications:- Navy NEC 9502 Instructor, or
- Navy NEC 9518 Naval Leadership Development Program Instructor, or
- Graduate of one of the following courses of instruction:
- Instructional Delivery Continuum Journeyman Instructor Training
- Instructional Delivery Continuum Journeyman Instructor Training Mobile Training Team
- Naval Leadership Facilitator

- Nuclear Instructor Qualifications
- Completion of a civilian (or commercial) formal course of instruction which has been evaluated and certified as a Journeyman Instructor Training Course equivalency by the Center for Personal and Professional Development
- Two years of past military experience in an operational environment or as a Law Enforcement representative with a military or civilian security force
- Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by a national or military certifying agency
- Current certification in Basic First Aid by a national or military certifying agency
Possess a basic knowledge of Navy terminology, shipboard and installation environments and configurations
Possess a basic understanding of Military/Civilian Security Force techniques
Qualified as a small arms weapons instructor (SAMI) within the past year
